Clay Your Own Way is pottery classes based anywhere in Brisbane spanning all the way down to the Gold Coast. Offering engaging and interesting hand-building workshops in an informal and fun environment. Where I come to you to teach!

My teaching style is fun and relaxed. I want everyone to enjoy the slow process of working with clay and take the time to make a handmade and original piece whilst having a laugh with friends. Creating it in Your Own Way.

Clay as a medium tends to have a mind of its own and you end up learning you have to run with the punches. It can be a rollercoaster Journey, and that is what makes it so appealing. You never know what you are going to create!

Frequently Asked Questions

  • We Include everything from the Clay, tools, table clothe and expertise to the carry home tray. All we need from you is a table to set up at

  • The class itself goes for 2 hours however the instructor will be there for 3 as we need a 30 minute window to pack down and set up.

  • There isn't a maximum we have taught classes up to 50 people and we are always up for the challenge!

  • Of course as we come to you to teach a class we can accommodate for any location including Homes, and apartments. However, we understand sometimes this isn't an option so we recommend a beautiful park.

    For Brisbane we recommend places such as New Farm Park or if you are looking for a location to have a drink The Fourth Monkey in West End has fantastic options.

    If you are based in Gold Coast areas and are looking for a place Clayyourownway has teamed up with The Valley Altar and they have fantastic locations all over the coast.

    Otherwise if you have a location in mind feel free to contact them and enquire and we will accommodate on our end to make your event happen!

  • Absolutely! weather you want to make a mug, or a tray or simply want to create a fun sculpture we can create a class around that for you!

  • Unfortunately no we don't however we recommend some amazing other small businesses to get them fired at.

  • Absolutely!! It takes approx 30 mins to set up prior to the class so if you wish to decorate for your event come along 15 mins before the event to decorate!

We offer optional classes that cater to all kinds of audiences, such as:

  • Low stimulation clay classes where we have soft or no music on. Classes are held in the afternoon with soft natural light and optional candle lighting for a comfortable environment. Perfect for people who want to enjoy a comfortable and safe night out creating

  • Private events for every kind of celebration including birthdays, bridal parties and anniversaries

  • And of course, group sessions
